Who we are
Switchback Consulting (“we”, “us”) is a consulting business based in Oakville, Ontario. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). This policy explains what we collect through switchbackco.ca, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Contact form: your name, email, business name (optional), the topic you choose and your message.
Digital Checkup sign-up: your first name, email, whether you agreed to receive emails, the exact consent wording you agreed to, and when.
Booking a call: when you book through our Google Calendar booking page, Google collects the details you enter (such as your name and email) and shares them with us so we can meet.
Website usage: basic, aggregated information about how the site is used, such as pages visited, the site that referred you and device type, collected by our website platform.
How we use it
To reply to your enquiry and prepare for any call you book.
To send you the Digital Checkup and, only if you agreed, occasional practical emails.
To understand which pages are useful and improve the website.
We do not sell your personal information.
Email and your consent
We only send marketing emails to people who have agreed to receive them. Every email identifies Switchback Consulting, includes our contact details and has an unsubscribe link. We act on unsubscribe requests within 10 business days, and you can withdraw consent at any time by emailing hello@switchbackco.ca.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the website and the business, such as our website and forms platform (Framer), our calendar and email provider (Google) and our email newsletter tool, and only as needed for the purposes above. These providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and booking details only as long as we need them to respond and follow up. We keep email list details until you unsubscribe, along with a record of your consent and any unsubscribe, as the law requires.
Your choices
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw your consent, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@switchbackco.ca and we’ll respond within 30 days.
How we protect it
We use reasonable safeguards, including reputable service providers, strong passwords and limited access, to protect personal information from loss or misuse.
